Historic Places And Monuments

Traces of history in the Balkans, have left behind countless sites and monuments for tourist attraction. Visiting them often brings tourists feelings of going back in time and reliving some of the most influential moments in history. In the Balkans, a tourist may expect old bridges, traces of old kingdoms, the remains of battles (wars), monuments, Spomeniks (monuments memorizing events during WWII). Other monuments are tombstones, fortresses, castles, cathedrals, towers and old monasteries.
